To Blog or Not to Blog

IMG_20170228_071457_148

For the past two months I’ve been trying to build the social media presence of McCOLLmeknitty, my handmade knitwear business on Etsy. Although the shop is currently closed for spring & summer, I thought it would be beneficial to still work on my social media marketing and build an audience now so it can translate to sales later; once the shop opens this fall.

I haveΒ Instagram,Β TwitterΒ &Β PinterestΒ for my knitting and recently I thought about making a knitting blog to share my experience opening a shop on Etsy and possibly help others start out their business on the site.

Now I am not a pro in the Etsy game nor have I made thousands of sales (yet). I’m still learning and starting out like a lot of knitters/crocheters/yarn addicts out there. I just want to share my experience in the hopes that I can help someone out, learn a thing or two together and help each other grow our businesses πŸ’•

I created this WordPress account to start out the blog. It’s so much work for someone who is a bit OCD (it took me over two hours to write this) but you can’t delete a WordPress account so… McCOLLmeknitty has a blog site!

Hope you guys will enjoy the content I’ll be posting. I’m not a writer but I’ll try to make sure to keep the topics interesting for you. Leave a comment on some topics you’d like to see and be sure to check out the social media accounts πŸ‘

Ciao for now!
